A natural bay, protected from the cycladian winds (Meltemia) given its morphology, full of tamarisk trees that offer guests natural shade, when they enjoy the crystal clear blue waters.
Livadakia is a peaceful area, offering each visitor the sense of a quiet getaway, just a few minutes away from the most popular and preferred spots of the center/port (Livadi).
Livadi is at a walking distance of 300m from our premises, where guests can have access to public transportation or taxis, which will conveniently transfer them to the most unique attractions of Serifos, such as:
Chora with its picturesque narrow alleys near the windmills and the traditional cycladian all-white houses.
The historical Castle, which is built at the highest point of Chora wherefrom you can enjoy a majestic sunrise and a magnificent sunset.
Mega Livadi, with its major historical value, where you can visit the abandoned mines, the old facilities and see the loading/unloading bridge and also the monument in the memory of the workers who lost their lives during the bloody miners’ strike.
The archaeological and the folklore museums. In the archaeological museum you can see findings from the Classical, Hellenistic and Roman eras, while in the folklore museum you can learn about the past and the folkloric tradition of Serifos.
Aspros Pyrgos (White Tower) and Kastro tis Grias (The Castle of the Old Lady), which were built at a site between the city of Serifos and MegaLivadi during the Hellenistic era. The ruins of the Castle of the Old Lady can be seen by looking east from the White Tower.
The Cyclops Throne, which is a rectangular structure and emerges as a "guardian" of the Mega Livadi’s bay.
The more than a hundred chapels and monasteries (116) that constitute a monument of Orthodox history and tradition.
Serifos Island can be reached from the port of Piraeus either by high-speed boat or ferry boat. The duration of the trip varies from 2 ½ to 5 hours depending on the type of the selected boat.
